Enteraction TV scoops best intranet prize at IM2005

Enteraction TV has seen off competition from 37 other entrants in the ‘Best Intranet’ category at the 2005 Information Management Awards, winning the prize for best project implementation with its ‘Cadiz’ intranet system. EI magazine was the media partner for the intranet and content-management categories, and managing editor Graeme Burton presented the award to director of operations at Enteraction TV, Alan Moore.

Cadiz is a secure, Adobe Flash-based intranet system that enables the television company’s staff, clients and partners to view footage of the programmes it produces online – for example, at the signing-off stage of production.

Runner up in this category was the children’s charity NSPCC, with its ‘FirstStop 2’ intranet implementation (partnered by Percussion Software). Due to the high number of entries, InterContinental Hotels Group and Irish financial company Hibernian Group also received commendations for their respective ‘EMEA’ and ‘Kainos’ intranet projects.

From the 27 original entries in the ‘Content Management’ category, Addenbrookes Hospital NHS Trust took first prize, with Network Rail finishing as runner-up.

The awards, according to organisers, are the premier European recognition of excellence and innovation in business information management. They provide a showcase for organisations that have demonstrated the vision and skills to implement highly successful projects based on leading-edge technologies such as content management, intranet, and knowledge management.

The prizes were presented at the Awards dinner, which was hosted by TV and radio presenter Barry Cryer, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
