Submissions invited for IM Awards

By Graeme Burton

Submissions are invited for the UK’s 2006 Information Management Awards, now in their eleventh year, sponsored by the British Computer Society (BCS).

The event is intended to showcase the successes of organisations that have demonstrated particular vision in implementing exciting, leading-edge projects, as well as recognising the skills of the specialists responsible for them.

There are a total of ten awards up for grabs; nine for projects (end-user implementations), including Intranet, Knowledge Management and Content Management, together with the Premier Project Award for the best overall project.

Enterprise Information is sponsoring the award for the best intranet project, won last year by Enteraction TV.

EI’s sister magazine, Inside Knowledge, meanwhile, is sponsoring the award for the best knowledge-management project, won last year by QAS.

Full details and entry forms can be obtained from the official website, http://im2006awards.com/. Alternatively, contact Chris Jones of the event’s organisers, Quest Media, by e-mail: chris.jones@questmedia.com.

The closing date for entries is 8 September 2006. The awards will be presented at a special dinner and ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 7 December 2006.
